Technical Program

We have four exciting sessions lined up that will cover the chemistry, biology, computational and nanoscience aspects of peptoids. There is a distinguished international group of speakers, and a nice mix of student, post-doc and PI presenters. New for this Summit will be a Lightning Round session, where there will be an open mic, and any attendee can present anything they want for 3 minutes. It will be a great way to learn more about what our colleagues are up to.  There will also be a poster session complete with refreshments, and a nice catered dinner will also be provided (included in your registration) on Thursday evening.  We encourage you to stay Friday afternoon for the Summit BBQ where scientific discussions can continue.

Attendee & Presenter Info

Registration fee: $150 ($85 for students).  Registration is closed, however a few walk-in registration slots are still open.  Please contact Ron if you’d like to reserve a slot.

We are able to offset a portion of travel expenses for presenters.  We hope this will encourage your participation!  The following amounts will be reimbursed toward travel expenses:

2. •Domestic speakers (non Bay Area) - $500
   

Poster presenters:  We can accommodate posters up to 4’ x 3’ in size.  We cannot print your poster here for you, but you are welcome to send it to us ahead of time.  Please contact Rita Garcia for details.

Conference Location

The technical sessions will be held in the Building 66 Auditorium, which is right next door to the Molecular Foundry.  The poster session and meals will be held in the Molecular Foundry.  These buildings are located at the southern edge of the spacious LBNL campus in the hills above Berkeley.  Lots of peaceful trees, rolling hills and spectacular bay views are guaranteed!  Directions to the LBNL campus itself can be found here.  There is a security gate at the lab perimeter, but when you register for the conference, you will be automatically added to the guest list and we can arrange for parking permit.  The securty gate can provide you with exact parking instructions.  The lab is also accessible via the LBNL shuttle bus service that goes between the Foundry and downtown Berkeley.
